my diaries during the Quarantine: day 4
Hi everyone
275 people infected with the SARS-COV-2 virus
10 dead
8 persons are healing
Today I woke up at ten o’clock. The atmosphere
is nice, the sky is blue, and the sun bright. The first thing I did was go to
the forest to gather wood. Usually we use gas bottles for cooking, but I forgot
to bring them, and it isn’t a problem to regain some of our ancestors’ skills
for staying alive. Even more so since I don’t want to go to town. As I said
earlier, every visit to the city is an adventure. Today the dreaded virus is here,
it has reached my city.
Of course, the bad news comes at once. The
first news is about a friend from Paris who told me that she was sick because of
the virus. She was very afraid, this news made me feel that the epidemic is
coming closer to me day after day,
She had wanted to come to Morocco three weeks ago.
I had asked her not to come because the epidemic was spreading dramatically in France
and surely the travel activities would soon be stopped. She still entered
Morocco and right after she did so, the Moroccan border was closed. Because she
has several exams ahead of her, she decided to return to Paris, using a plane provided
by the French state. Even though her behavior was reckless and made herself
easy prey to pick up infection, I felt bad for her. I can’t blame her, I can only
pray for her, and try to give her a little positive power to resist to the
disease. Her health gets worse day by day and I just hope that it doesn’t get
much worse.
The second news is about my neighbor, who lives
in the same neighborhood as my apartment. The health authorities took him to
the hospital. he will remain in quarantine. This news made me feel again that
the disease is getting closer to me and my family, day by day.
My mood is sinking and writing is no longer
helping me to feel better. I will stop writing and take a walk in nature instead.
See you….
